Kim Tillyer
Kim’s use of the cyanotype process is informed by her degree in Textiles and Surface Design.
Using rare Cumbrian sunlight and found natural forms, together with hand drawn and photographic elements to create ethereal, illustrative images in shades of blue and white. Works often include intricate hand embroidered details to add colour and texture. Unlike many other forms of printmaking her prints are one off pieces directly affected by the time, light and movement of elements during the printing process.
Kim has exhibited her work widely throughout the UK as well as demonstrating the cyanotype process on BBC Countryfile.
Her book, “Beginner’s Guide to Cyanotype” was published by Search Press in 2024.
